​Pre-Game & Lineup

​Heading into the final round of the regular season, the squad lined up with Adem, Christian, CJ, Dan, Fertland, and Nic.

​Nic came into the side to step up for Joel, who was unfortunately sidelined after a work accident requiring urgent hospital care - the whole squad sends their best for a speedy recovery.

​It was a milestone night for Dan, celebrating his 50th game following last week’s forfeit. To mark the occasion, the boys dusted off and donned last season’s iconic Full Red stripe kit.

​Despite Fertland being delayed and arriving 7 minutes late, Rosso Nero started with 5 on the pitch and settled in quickly.

​First Half

​Knowing they were running without a bench in the opening minutes, Rosso Nero played a measured, disciplined game. The passing was crisp and clean, carving out several promising opportunities early, though the opposition keeper managed to keep everything out.

• ​5' – Tom and Best Friends struck first on a rapid counter-attack, exploiting a 3-v-1 advantage. Their overlapping run created space, and despite CJ’s effort to block the cross, they sneaked a shot into the near post. (0–1)

  
  

• ​6' – A second quick transition caught the backline short. CJ attempted to reach the shot, but his foot got stuck on the turn, leaving him unable to make the save. (0–2)

  
  

• ​7' – Rosso Nero responded immediately. Moving the ball swiftly up the court, Nic unleashed a thunderous strike that proved too powerful for the keeper, powering through his hands and into the net. (1–2)

  
  

​Rosso Nero took control of possession for the remainder of the half, but the opposition keeper turned into a absolute brick wall. With 6 minutes left before the break, a couple of costly lapses short at the back allowed Tom and Best Friends to capitalise on overlaps once more, slotting two late goals.

​Second Half:

​The half-time team chat was clear and direct: stay calm, finish chances, and track the overlapping runs.

​Whatever was said, the boys flipped the switch instantly. What followed was a standard-setting comeback in a matter of minutes:

• ​18 minutes and 30 seconds – Fertland opens the half with a quick finish. (2–4)

• ​19:30 – Dan marks his 50th game with a well-taken goal. (3–4)

• ​20:25 – Fertland bags his second in quick succession. (4–4)

​In less than four minutes, Rosso Nero had snatched the lead. CJ locked things down at the back with a pair of neat, decisive saves to deny any momentum shift, setting the platform for a complete second-half blitz:

Wrap-Up

​A true tale of two halves. After a challenging first period, Rosso Nero put on a masterclass in the second - scoring 9 unanswered goals to turn a 1 - 4 deficit into a 10 - 4 victory.

​It’s an incredible way to close out the regular season, finishing a massive 9 points clear at the top of the table in 1st place. The team’s spirit, fight, and resilience were on full display tonight.
