Rd 9 - Chaotic but brilliant

🟥 Round 9 – Rosso Nero FC vs Seaspray Goose

A reshuffled line‑up took the court this week with Maz out for work, Amir still sidelined with concussion, and Christian unavailable.

In came Drilon, Adem, and Joel, joining regulars Dan, Fatlind, and CJ.

Well… almost.

Joel was a no‑show, leaving the boys to battle the full match with no subs. (Hope he’s okay.)

🔥 First Half – Total Domination

A calm, controlled start set the tone. Rosso Nero FC kept the ball, dictated tempo, and waited for the right moment to strike.

And when the moment came… it was clinical.

- First attack → Goal. Beautiful movement, crisp passing, tap‑in finish.

- Second attack → Goal. Another flowing team move.

- Third attack → Goal. Same story — movement, passing, confusion for the keeper.

Seaspray Goose finally found some footing, forcing a few blocks from Adem and Dan, and a couple of saves from CJ.

But then the floodgates opened.

Goals to Fatlind, Dan, Drilon, and Adem — it felt like a goal every two minutes.

Half‑time: Rosso Nero FC 8 – 0 Seaspray Goose

Team talk was simple:

Keep going. Keep it clean. Don’t get hurt.

⚔️ Second Half – Chaos, Courage & Two Salami Moments

The boys eased off slightly at 8–0, allowing Seaspray Goose the first two chances — both saved.

Then a quick counter restored order: 9–0.

But the drama was only warming up.

Salami Moment No. 1 – Adem’s Accidental Own Goal

A 1v1 was saved onto the post by CJ.

Rebound fell to the attacker → second shot → sneaks under CJ’s arm…

Adem covering the back post had the easiest block of the night…

Instead, he wrong‑footed himself and ran the ball into the net.

Cue laughter. Reset. Score again.

Injuries Hit Hard

- Dan rolled his ankle and could barely move.

- Fatlind copped a heavy knock, bruised and cut shin, struggling to put weight on it.

Still no subs. Still fighting.

Salami Moment No. 2 – Drilon’s Goal Line Comedy

Fatlind squared the ball to Drilon at the back post.

Open goal. Keeper nowhere.

Drilon taps it… hits the post… rolls along the line…

He watches it, laughs, wills it in…

Keeper strolls over and picks it up.

Seaspray Goose capitalised, scoring their second and third.

Rosso Nero FC steadied and buried the final goal of the night.

🏁 Full Time: Rosso Nero FC 11 – 3 Seaspray Goose

A brilliant win built on a dominant first half.

The second half showed heart, grit, and determination, with the team battling injuries and no bench.

Excellent ball movement. Excellent team play. Excellent spirit.

Highlights on YouTube.

⭐ Next Week – A Massive Milestone

Game 100 for CJ — the first Rosso Nero FC player to reach triple digits.

A huge achievement and a proud moment for the club.

See you all next week.
