Rosso Nero FC Summer Season Wrap-Up: Awards, Fun, and Camaraderie

Our 2023/24 summer season for Rosso Nero FC came to a close last week, and we celebrated with a fun-filled season wind-up dinner. With thanks to our dedicated coaches Frank and Pius, we moved on to player appreciation.

Each player this year received Rosso Nero FC shoe bag, while Anthony missed out on his bunch of bananas – a playful nod to his persistent (and perhaps slightly offbeat) calls for the "SALAMI AWARD" to be renamed the "BANANA AWARD."

Award Time!

The big awards of the night were eagerly anticipated.

First up was the SALAMI AWARD.

A lighthearted recognition of a player's, well, let's say, more colorful moments on the field. This year's clear winner, based on the votes, was CJ, who took home the Salami after a string of notable performances in the early part of the season. Runner up Alex.

The CHAMPION AWARD.

This was a close battle between two brothers, Marcus and Danny. Marcus ultimately emerged victorious, edging out Danny who faced some challenges with a late-season broken hand. This award win was particularly sweet for Marcus, being his first.

Finally, the night culminated with the announcement of the MVP (Most Voted Player).

This award remained tight throughout the season, with three players vying for the top spot. In the end, the numbers revealed Danny as the MVP with 48 votes, followed closely by CJ with 46 and Marcus at 40.

A Season of Camaraderie

As a team, we had our share of ups and downs this season. Many close games ended in losses, but with a bit more luck, the outcomes could have been different. Nevertheless, the team spirit remained high throughout.

Congratulations once again to all our award winners! #RossoNeroFCForLife
