Round 6 - 50 game milestone

Rosso Nero FC First player milestone game.

Alex Ienco marking his 50th appearance in this match for Rosso Nero FC

Alex is our first player to reach the milestone.

With regular keeper Danny and key defender Ant missing this week we brought in Gianluca for his second game. It meant Cj moved into goals to cover Danny and Gianluca played on the pitch.

From the outset this game was tight, with close marking and no space to run into for both teams. Both teams were switched on from the outset.

The first 5 minutes had shots fired from both teams but no real clear chances. Cj making the first 2 saves with the 3rd save taking his time and got caught from behind with Ravioli attacker sneaking in behind for a cheeky goal. From here the game was tight With Rosso Nero FC having the better chances but not able to put the ball in the net.

2nd half was much the same with Rosso Nero FC controlling the ball and Ravioli trying long balls from the keeper. Rosso Nero FC goal came with pressure from Nuno causing a backpack to their keeper to slide under the foot and into the goal. It opened the game up as Ravioli pushed for a second but there was no getting through the defence. In the last 4 minutes Rosso Nero FC had chance after chance, with Sebs shot saved, Gianlucas shoot sliced wide and the Gabes shots also sliced wide... it left Alex to have the next chance which missed and the Seb again just showing wide. With 30 seconds left the ball was passed into the middle of the def where Gabe had a chance 1 on 1 with the keeper and with a cool head he placed the ball in the bottom corner.

It lead to a wild celebration from the bench and players knowing that would be the winner. Ravioli pushed for one last attack, but again it was shut down by the strong defence.

End result was a 2 goal to 1 win for Rosso Nero FC on Alex's 50th appearance.

Well done for the come from behind win.
