2025 Wind Up - Year Review

Alright, let’s rewind to 2025.

Across the year we somehow squeezed in 29 games over three separate seasons.

Unfortunately, we did miss the winter season — partly because our aging bodies needed the break… and partly because three out of seven players decided an eight‑week holiday was a better idea than football. Fair play.

The upside of all that chaos?

Anyone who pulled on a jersey in in 2025 was genuinely in the mix for an award.

Looking back at the seasons:

Summer 2025 was massive. We finished runners‑up in the league and lost the Grand Final in the final minutes. Still stings.

Autumn 2025 was just as eventful. We finished third, then lost the semi 2–1, with no keeper, a makeshift team, and half the squad missing while watching the Socceroos.

And our current season, which has just wrapped up, saw a late surge to finish — you guessed it — runners‑up again.

All up, a huge effort across 2025. Plenty of heart, plenty of chaos, and somehow still plenty of results.

And our awards...

Salami Award

3rd Place: Anthony — played 17 games for 26 points

2nd Place: CJ — 25 games, 37 points

Winner — by just one point, played 12 games, top‑voted in 7, and even came out of retirement to help the team… our Major Sponsor, Nathan Hanna

Champion Award

3rd Place: Jayden — played 5 games, top‑voted in 4, 25 points

2nd Place: Dan — 22 games, 35 points

Winner: played 16 games, racked up top votes more times than anyone else, and finished a clear 13 points ahead of second — Nuno

MVP

This one was tight — just 10 votes separating the top four.

4th: Nathan — 50 points

3rd: CJ — 55 points

Big effort from everyone across the year — whether you played five games, twenty‑five games, or just showed up when your holiday finished.

Summer 2026 Season Wind‑Up & Review

What a season. The longest season we’ve ever been part of, featuring eight extra league games plus finals. A huge effort from everyone involved.

Season by the Numbers

Most players used in a single season: 13 players total

Debutants (6): Cody, Tyler, Jayden, Gianluca, Alessio & Sean

Highest scoring season ever: 99 goals

(121 goals including two grading games)

Second‑best defensive record: 43 goals conceded – an average of 1.7 goals per game

Every player featured on the votes – a first for the club

The wildest stat of all: We only fielded the same lineup once, across two consecutive weeks

Despite constant change, the team finished runners‑up in both the league and finals. A massive achievement and something everyone should be proud of.

Next season, we roll on with four new faces and one clear goal — To go one better.
