Game Week 15 - Rosso Nero FC v Ravioli

After a week off with the bye, the boys returned refreshed and ready to go. A reshuffle in the line-up saw Marcus out due to work commitments, with Alessio stepping up to fill the gap.

If only fresh legs guaranteed a fresh start…

From our own kick-off, we lost possession and within the first 10 seconds Ravioli had their first shot — and their first goal. Forty seconds later came a second. A minute after that, a third. Before we could catch our breath, the fourth and fifth hit the back of the net — five goals conceded in under six minutes.

A brutal wake-up call.

From there, the team settled. We began controlling the tempo, keeping the ball moving and playing our game. The composure returned, and with four minutes remaining in the half we pulled one back — a true team goal built on patience and movement.

Half-time: 5–1 down.

The message at the break was simple — keep our heads up, move the ball, trust the process.

The second half showed exactly what this group is about.

We struck quickly, scoring our second and third within minutes. The energy shifted. The boys were back. The next six minutes were intense, high-pressure football from both sides. Then against the run of play, we were caught on the counter and conceded again. 6–3.

But Rosso Nero FC doesn’t fold.

We pushed forward and soon grabbed our fourth. With five minutes remaining and two goals the difference, the fight well and truly kicked in. Wave after wave of pressure followed, but despite our efforts we couldn’t find the fifth past their keeper.

The opening five minutes ultimately decided the result, but the response showed true character. No heads dropped. No blame. Just unity and fight.

That’s the Rosso Nero FC spirit.

Better luck next week.

See you all then.
