Game week 6: Clash with Ladder Leaders Ravioli

This week we faced Ravioli, who came into the round sitting firmly at the top of the ladder. Despite missing three of our usual starters — Seb, Gabe, and Nuno — the team reshaped with Jayden, Alessio, and Sean stepping into the lineup.

⚽ First Half Fireworks

The new-look side wasted no time making an impact. Jayden opened the scoring with two quick goals, putting Ravioli on the back foot. However, a lapse in defense saw Ravioli respond with three of their own.

Refusing to let momentum slip, Jayden once again carried the team, netting the equaliser and then a fourth to restore our lead. We went into halftime ahead by one, showing grit and determination against the ladder leaders.

🥅 Second Half Battle

The second half was a tense, closely fought contest. Both keepers produced crucial saves to keep the scoreline tight.

With five minutes left, the drama escalated. Ravioli equalised, but Jayden struck back immediately with his fifth goal of the night. In the dying minutes, Ravioli surged again, scoring twice to take a 6–5 lead.

⏱️ Last-Second Heroics

With only seconds remaining, our keeper launched a long ball to Dan, who controlled brilliantly and laid it off to Jayden. Without hesitation, Jayden fired first time — and found the back of the net. The equaliser came with just two seconds left on the clock.

Jayden finished with all six of our goals in a performance for the ages.

💪 Team Spirit Shines

Despite missing key players, the squad showed incredible resilience, never giving up and fighting until the final whistle. The 6–6 draw against the ladder leaders was a testament to our team’s spirit and belief.

What a game. What a team. See you all next week!
