Rd 15: Rosso Nero FC Secures playoff spot, with sour injury to Alex.

What a game, what a performance! Round 15 brought a fresh look to our lineup with Gabe Ienco making a welcome return. Despite Danny and Nuno still sidelined with injuries, the stakes couldn't have been higher: we were facing the top-of-the-table league champions, a team with only one loss all season, and we needed a win to secure a spot in the top four. Simply put, our season was on the line!

From the first whistle, Rosso Nero FC delivered one of our best games all season. The first half was a tight affair, marked by exceptional ball movement from our side. We conceded an early, somewhat soft goal that CJ will want back, but from that point on, we dominated possession and play. Our persistence paid off with a sizzling team goal that showed off our cohesion. Ravioli had a couple of chances, but our solid team defense and CJ's saves kept them at bay. We went into halftime just one goal down, but with all the momentum.

The second half was no different. Rosso Nero FC continued to dominate the ball and dictate play, leaving only scraps for Ravioli. After a couple more crucial saves from CJ, we finally capitalised on our pressure, scoring our second goal – another cracking team effort!

With just seven minutes left, both teams pushed hard. We were hungry for the clincher, while they desperately sought an equaliser. Then, with four minutes remaining, Ant delivered a pearler of a through ball to Alex, who was then taken out by a sliding tackle from an outfield player, and then by their keeper! Incredibly, no foul was given, leaving Alex on the ground in pain with a knee injury.

Play was eventually stopped to help Alex off the pitch for ice, but this controversial decision undeniably killed our momentum and left the team, to say the least, confused and frustrated about the lack of a foul or cards.

Despite the abrupt and frustrating end to the game's flow, the final whistle confirmed a monumental victory for Rosso Nero FC: 2 goals to their 1!

We did it! We're semi-final bound next week, and guess who we'll be playing? The very same team! Get ready for a rematch!
