RD 3 vs Yep

Round 3 brought plenty of excitement — and with Northside Texture Coatings (NTC) joining us as our newest sponsor, the boys were fired up to put on a show for the Rosso Nero FC faithful.

With a slightly changed line‑up from last week, we ran out with six players and hit the ground running. From the opening attack, Rosso Nero FC struck first: a tidy finish from Fatlind, setting the tone early.

But from there, the match turned into a seesaw battle.

Yep equalised through a deflected strike that wrong‑footed CJ and curled into the opposite top corner. No panic — the boys hit back again. Another composed finish from Fatlind, this time after a brilliant assist from Amir.

Yep answered once more, capitalising on a 3‑v‑1 break to level the score. But Fatlind wasn’t done. After Amir’s shot was saved, the rebound fell perfectly for him to complete his hat‑trick.

Still, Yep kept coming. Another 3‑v‑1 break saw a shot squeeze through Joel’s legs and then CJ’s as he slid out to block. Amir responded with a long‑range bullet the keeper never saw.

Yep equalised again after a turnover at the back — CJ got a glove to it, but the low shot still crept in. Christian then stepped up with a composed finish to put us ahead once more.

Yep found another through another error playing out from the back, but Fatlind answered yet again to keep us in front.

Rosso Nero FC led 6–5 at halftime.

The message was simple:

Clean up our passing. Keep the ball. Drop and defend when we lose it.

And the boys delivered.

Yep kicked off the second half, but Dan’s pressure forced a turnover that opened the door for — who else — Fatlind, who slotted his fifth.

Yep hit back again after another misplayed pass, but from there Rosso Nero FC locked in and took control. The next four goals were all ours: Dan x2, Fatlind, and Amir, who completed his hat‑trick in style.

A wild, high‑scoring match — but the Rosso Nero FC team spirit, resilience, and never‑give‑up attitude shone through from start to finish.
