Rosso Nero FC v YEP Game 11

Game 11 brought another change to the Rosso Nero FC line-up, with Nathan and Alessio missing, while regulars CJ and Nuno returned. Gabe again missed out through injury, with Sean stepping in to cover.

Pre-game nerves hit hard as, with seconds remaining before kick-off, Marcus, Seb and Nuno were nowhere to be seen. Thoughts of a forfeit crept in, but relief followed as all three arrived just in time for the whistle.

From the opening exchanges, Rosso Nero took control. Sharp passing, quick switches of play and excellent off-the-ball runs saw us score from our first two attacks. The pressure didn’t stop there, with chance after chance being created.

Seb set the tone with an absolute cracker from halfway, while Dan and Sean finished off some outstanding team moves. By half-time, we had built a commanding 6–2 lead.

The half-time message was simple: keep the ball moving and drop quickly when possession is lost — and the boys delivered.

The second half saw another five goals added, even after the opposition changed goalkeepers who pulled off save after save, including several double and triple stops. It was a complete performance from start to finish.

Goal Scorers

Seb – 4

Sean – 3

Dan – 2

Marcus – 1

Nuno – 1

With every outfield player getting on the scoresheet, it was a true team effort.

The result consolidates our place in the top four, sitting comfortably in 3rd place after playing two games less due to byes.
