Round 6: Father-Son Debut, Fierce and Controversial Draw

Tonight's Round 6 clash was a rollercoaster!

We welcomed a debutant, Alex's father, stepping up to cover the injured CJ, creating a special father-son duo on the pitch.

We knew we were in for a tough game, especially given our past experiences with the referee. In essence, we felt like we were playing 5 vs 6.

The first half was a battleground. Within the opening six minutes, after winning a foul, Nuno was kicked in the back while on the ground, even after the free kick was awarded. This sparked understandable outrage from the team, who defended Nuno. The referee, witnessing the incident, issued a yellow card to the offending player, sending him to the sin bin for two minutes as per the rules. However, he was allowed back onto the pitch after just 60 seconds.

This series of events understandably frustrated our players, disrupting our focus. We conceded four goals in a short period.

At halftime, we regrouped, determined to put the questionable calls behind us. We knew we were still in the game and could win if we played our style. And we did! The second half was a different story. We immediately started playing our brand of passing, movement, and pressing. This led to a remarkable comeback, with Rosso Nero FC scoring the next five goals, the fifth coming with just 1 minute and 30 seconds remaining.

With the game on a knife-edge, we pressed hard, closing down every opportunity. However, another controversial call went against us. The referee awarded the opposition a kick in with only 20 seconds left. They took a hopeful shot, which somehow touched Danny's hands and floated agonisingly into the net for an equaliser.

The game somehow ended 5-5, with no red cards issued.
