Round 7 - Back to the future...

Where to start for round 7... with regular player Nuno unable to play we had two old players return for a run. Gabes (our youngest Rosso Nero FC player) and Marcus returned to fill the void.

Starting the with a strong fit line up Rosso Nero FC started slowly and conceded a goal early on. This snap the starting 5 into gear and fired back with 2 rapid goals in the next 60 seconds.

The next 4 minutes were a struggle with both teams trying to retain possession. Finally the struggle came to an end and Rosso Nero FC conceded and equaliser. Yet again this sprung Rosso Nero FC back to life with Cj scoring from a quick corner taken by Seb and then another goal just before half time. This gave Rosso Nero FC a 4 goals to 2 lead at half time.

2nd half began with another tussle with everything being tightly contested.

Rosso Nero FC struck first with a nice passing move between brothers Seb and Gabe which ended with a simple tap in gofor Gabe. We then coneded a 3rd but maintain control. With 7 minutes left goalnof the night came from Marcus, with another assist from Seb from a corner, Seb lobbed the ball to the far side, for Marcus to volley first time and smached the ball near post with the keeper not even seeing the ball (it was a bullet). This gave Rosso Nero FC a 3 goal lead with 7 minutes left.

Instead of running out the game Alex argued with the ref, only for a yellow card to be given which sat Alex down on the bench for 2 minutes. It meant Rosso Nero FC played a player short and in this time Rosso Nero FC kept the ball. With 30 seconds remaining with 4 men, we concede a goal on a counter. Finally Alex returned to the pitch which gave us control again. With 40 seconds remaining, we conceded another but held off to win the game 6 goals to 5.

Great game and great ending.

Awesome to see some of our old players return.

See you all next week. Videos are on youtube
