Semi Final Showdown

Semi-Final night... what a game it was!

This was a rematch of last year's Grand Final, and Rosso Nero FC came out firing on all cylinders, determined to avenge their previous loss. Despite missing key players Danny and Seb (due to injury and work commitments), Marcus and Luca stepped up admirably.

Sporting our new clash jerseys, the team looked composed from the first whistle. We applied relentless pressure from the outset, unsettling the opposition. This aggressive approach paid off when CJ intercepted a cross-field pass, took a couple of steps, and unleashed a powerful left-footed shot. Unfortunately, a trailing defender also made contact with the ball, and it miraculously flew into the top corner for the first goal. This early strike set the tone for the first half, and we quickly doubled our lead.

Leading by two goals at halftime, we continued to press, but the opposition started to get physical, with some heavy tackles flying in against Nuno and Alex. Despite the increased aggression, we managed to extend our lead to three.

Towards the end of the game, the opposition ramped up the pressure, rushing our passes and forcing some errors. This led to a quickfire double from our opponents, bringing them back into the contest. However, Marcus calmly slotted home our fourth goal to regain some breathing space. With two minutes remaining, the opposition scored again, making for a tense finish.

Thankfully, we managed to regain our composure, slowed the game down, and knocked the ball long to waste valuable time. As the clock wound down, Rosso Nero FC emerged victorious!

Final Score: 4-3

We're back in the Grand Final!

This was an excellent match, and a huge credit to the team's resilience and determination. Well played, lads!
