Tough week for the team - Rd 10 recap

Well, Round 10 certainly threw us a curveball! With CJ, Dan, Danny, and Nathan all enjoying some well-deserved family holidays, we were looking pretty thin on the ground, especially between the posts with our regular keeper and both backups unavailable.

Despite the significant player shortage, the lads who stepped up deserve a massive shoutout. We managed to field a competitive team of five, even without a designated keeper! That fighting spirit was evident right from the whistle as we took it to Ravioli. The first half was a real battle, and while we went into the break 2-0 down, we knew we had it in us to keep pushing.

And push we did! We came out firing in the second half, grabbing an early goal to make it 2-1 and put the pressure right back on Ravioli. Unfortunately, with no substitutes available, the relentless effort eventually took its toll, and we ultimately went down 7-1.

While the result wasn't what we hoped for, the determination and commitment shown by everyone who played was fantastic. It speaks volumes about the character of this team.

The good news is we'll be back to full strength next week! Let's regroup, learn from this week's challenges, and come back stronger.

see you all next week.
