Weekly game update

2nd last game of the season.... it was top team v 3rd last... and wow didn't the 3rd last team put a show on... yes Rosso Nero took it to the top team in Div 2... sorry 3.

After playing the same team in div 2 2 weeks ago, Rosso Nero FC found out they have the same team in div 3 also....

In a 40 degree night and with 3 new players covering tonight, Rosso Nero FC started the game on fire 🔥. Having the ball for the first 6 minutes and having play and shots one after each other... Rosso Nero FC found it hard to score past an in form goal keeper.

On the counter Rosso Nero FC lost track of 1 player who had a missed placed shot wrong foot Danny in goals for the first. The goal was against the run of play and took everyone by surprise.

From the restart again Rosso Nero FC controlled the play and ball, on for a soft foul to be given agisnt which lead to the 2nd goal, Danny blinded with the shot, yet getting his hand and then foot to the ball but unable to stop the bounce into the goals.

Yet again Rosso Nerp FC dominated play but unable to score, on the counter the opposition had a half chance which slide past Danny... half time came and Rosso Nero FC were 3 down...

2nd half kicked off and again Rosso Nero FC dominated, having shot after shot but unable to score... 7 mins in Rosso Nero FC with the play of the night broke fast and played 1, 2 pass' pass the players and keeper for Marcus to tap into an empty net...team play and movement at its best and on show. GREAT GOAL by Rosso Nero FC.

Rosso Nero FC kept pushing for goals as the game was getting heated with rough tackles and mouthiness. Both teams up for the challenge and tackling hard, with the ref on call picking the fouls and keeping everyone in check. Against the run of play Rosso Nero FC let a 4th in.

End result was 4 to 1 but the result doesn't show the teams fight, spirit, team play and ball movement. On another day Rosso Nero FC could have scored 10...

Well done team, not our night tonight.
